David
Kohs earned his Juris Doctor degree from University of Florida Law
School, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1987 and first in his
graduating class. While there, he was a Board Member of the University
of Florida Law Review.
David is a member of Order of the Coif, and is
First Recipient of the W.D. Macdonald Prize. He has written various
articles, including a lead article appearing in the Federal
Communications Law Journal, involving intellectual property rights.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University
in East Lansing, Michigan, where he studied Business Administration.
David practices in the Commercial Litigation Department, and is
admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Middle
District of Florida. He is a member of the Orange County Bar
Association, and practices throughout the State of Florida. David has
particular experience in the areas of contracts, real property and
franchise litigation; appeals; complex litigation; intellectual
property and other types of business and general litigation.
David and his wife, Margaret, live in Winter Park, and are members of
First Baptist Church of Winter Park. David is an alumnus of Leadership
Orlando, Class 36. His interests include music, singing, movies,
computers and sports.
