John
Simpson practices primarily in the field of real estate law including
representation of developers of commercial, office, industrial and
residential properties and the purchase, financing, leasing and sale
of income producing real estate. John has experience in commercial
leasing for both landlords and tenants, real estate financing for
lenders and borrowers, tax deferred exchanges and land use issues. He
is an authorized agent for several national title insurance companies.
John is a 1975 graduate of Emory University with a BBA in finance. He
received his law degree from Duke University in 1978 and has practiced
law in Orlando for over twenty years. John is a graduate of Leadership
Orlando and served as Vice Chairman of the Municipal Planning Board of
the City of Orlando and as Chairman of the Development Review
Committee of the Orlando Downtown Development Board. He also chaired
the Real Property Committee of the Orange County Bar Association and
served on the Citizens Dispute Resolution Board of the Bar
Association.
John's clients include a major office developer with operations in
Florida and three other southern states, local industrial and
commercial real estate brokers, local residential developers and home
builders, and owners of citrus and other agricultural interests.
